- to help the cooperatives reach international markets,
- to enhance the living standards of small craftsmen working in unfavourable conditions,
-to preserve rare ethnic handicrafts and their traditional know-how,
-to encourage artisans train apprentices in order to preserve the rare ethnic handicrafts for the coming generations,
